Los Alamos National Laboratory’s High Performance Computing Division.
This is a paid, 11-week technical summer program offering hands-on experience building and operating state-of-the-art and next-generation compute clusters, high-speed networks, extreme-scale filesystems, containers, security, etc. Interns will obtain a thorough introduction to the techniques and practices of HPC; no HPC experience is required.
Undergraduate and graduate students in all majors, as well as recent graduates, who have computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related experience are eligible.
Los Alamos is a great place to spend a summer (or a career!). We consistently get very good feedback about the program, and it teaches unique but marketable skills that aren’t taught many places.
