Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Undergraduate Internship is to provide an intern with relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility. (002102-42402) DOEjobs
Qualifications: The candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering Bachelor’s Degree program and have:
- A GPA greater than 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. (Please attach current academic transcript to application)
- Experience or education in software programming using the Microsoft Visual Studio.NET environment, specifically C#.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills.
- TCP/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
- Testing at all levels: unit, integration, system and acceptance
- Working in a team environment, including other project team members, users and project requesters
- Past software development
- Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- System architecture and design
- Embedded software/firmware development

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: This position has a predetermined rate of $13.00 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: This position would be expected to work a minimum of 10 weeks starting as early as May 2017.
Generally, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
