Position Summary:

This 10 week paid internship will start the first week in June 2016 and is located at the new maurices home office in downtown Duluth.  This person will work with the ascena shared services HRIS team that supports the HR and Payroll systems for several of the brands that make up the ascena retail group inc. Applicants for this internship should have an overall interest in HR data and systems applications.

Position Responsibilities:

o   Understand and interact with the range of systems/applications/and services provided by an HRIS Team in a large, multi-division company.
o   Daily services:  data maintenance, validation, reporting and analysis across a variety of HR Information Systems:

o   Function as part of a team responsible for reviewing, analyzing and updating HRIS Data in support of our operations, take ownership over specific daily reports, audits, and tasks.
o   Complete all tasks accurately and timely

o   Project related services: Development of solutions for specific needs, e.g. data feeds, custom jobs, and other options

o   Provide support and assistance as we plan, test, and implement updates to our ETime system in partnership with our brands.

o   Support other system projects as requested – creating test cases, evaluating test plans, updating test systems, etc

Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science or related field
    • Completed Junior year or higher
    • Microsoft Excel skills at an intermediate level or higher
    • ADP or HRIS system experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability for detailed and analytical work, very high levels of accuracy in completing tasks
