What you would do in this job:

As an Information Technology professional, you will receive customized training that allows you the opportunity to focus your skills and interests in any of several IT areas. Java, web, and batch technologies are all extremely important to maintaining the Company’s competitive edge. Using both agile and traditional methodologies, you will be actively involved in all phases of the system’s life cycle including designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining new and existing systems. We continually research the latest technological advancements to ascertain their effectiveness in meeting our business needs. Our environment includes a wide variety of technologies including Java, Spring framework, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Groovy, Microsoft SQL Server, PL/I, and DB2 to name a few.

 

What we’d expect from you:
  1. Four-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration with MIS emphasis, Engineering or the Physical Sciences.
  2. Strong analytical and design skills, creative problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with clients.
  4. Ability to take the initiative, have strong sense of urgency and willing to accept a wide range of responsibilities.

Physical job requirements:
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for approximately 1-4 hours per day
  • Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-4 hours per day
