|Job Description:||This position serves as an assistant developer of the College Web site. This includes assisting in monitoring and maintaining the College external and internal Web sites. Assisting and maintaining viable external and internal public and employees sites that will promote college services and enhance marketing strategies. Assess and determine Web needs and develop solutions for communications and social media.|
|Minimum Qualifications:||KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
-High school diploma or equivalency
-At least one year of current work experience and knowledge in Web design and development
-One year experience developing and constructing Web pages using Cold Fusion software.
-Knowledge of and/or technical support/operation experience with web application programming languages (HTML, ASP.net) and three of the following areas:
-Knowledge and experience using databases Access and MySQL.
-Knowledge and experience using the following Web design and development tools: Adobe Web Premium Suite, SharePoint Designer.
-Experience with Social Media, blogging.
-Excellent written and oral communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to translate user needs and requests into creative, workable solutions
-Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish effective harmonious relationships with a wide variety of clientele from a diverse community of faculty, students and staff
-Knowledge of institutional departments and operations
-Problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Organizational and time management skills
|Preferred Qualifications:||-A two-year or higher degree/certificate in Web design or a related field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and experience using various computer platforms such as Windows, UNIX and Macintosh
-Ability to handle multiple projects using project management software and work within tight deadlines
-Ability to take initiative, research and recommend strategies, solve problems independently and document processes thoroughly
-Demonstrate a willingness to learn and keep current with new technologies
-Multilingual or multicultural background or experience working with underserved populations.
