maurices is offering a summer internship in our Ecommerce/Marketing area. This internship will help prepare individuals for a career in Digital Marketing by providing focused training and exposure to all aspects of the functional area as well as a broad overview of maurices business structure and target customer.

Through this 8-week, paid summer internship, you’ll gain knowledge and insight into digital and database Marketing. As a member of the Ecommerce/Marketing teams, you’ll play an active role in contributing to maurices sales and profit. In addition, you will gain experience on business etiquette and have an opportunity to practice your communication, presentation and time management skills.

Internship Structure

This project based internship would allow the intern to develop programs that include:

  • Project objective
  • Data inputs to program, both analytical/quantitative and subjective
  • Strategy formulation
  • Tactical plan
  • Execution
  • Measurement
  • Optimization

Additionally you will experience:

  • Classroom training focused on areas of personal development (i.e. leadership, communication).
  • Exposure to VP’s through roundtable discussions and mentoring opportunities.
  • Cross-functional and cross-departmental exposures/shadowing are encouraged and facilitated.
  • Start to finish hands’ on project development complete with Presentation to Executives and key merchandising and marketing personnel
  • Gain understanding of business etiquette and importance of collaboration through on the job learning, cross-functional and cross-departmental exposure. .
Requirements Internship Requirements:

Education:   Must be a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in field related to area of internship (Economics, Math/Statistics, Marketing with a lean on analytics)


  • Position is strongly a digital or database marketing role.
  • Strong analytical background
  • Retail experience is preferred. Excellent academic record, strong communication (both verbal and written).
  • Critical thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Experience with the following types of software necessary:   Database/Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet searches

This internship is located exclusively in Duluth, MN.      This is a full time, non-exempt (hourly) internship.
