HealthPartners is expanding our Duluth based IT department within the Harbor Center building.  We are currently in the process of hiring  3-5 additional full time positions and are interested in your graduates to fill our open positions within our Java/J2EE web development and operations teams.  We are currently hiring web development and operations staff, QA staff, and DataWarehouse operations staff.  In the future I also anticipate the need for internship positions as we migrate and grow our Duluth team.

We are currently seeking a Web Systems Support Specialist Associate to join our Regional Technology Center in Duluth, MN.  This position will work within our Applications Operations Management team responsible for the support and maintenance of our www.healthpartners.com family of websites and associated systems. The successful candidate will function as a team member within the Applications Operation Management Team performing web development activities as a part of the incident management, lifecycle management and production support services.

HealthPartners is looking for a results oriented, self-motivated Web Systems Support Specialist Associate with a customer service focus and passion for the job. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to consistently provide a superior member and customer web experience.  Excellent communication, teamwork, problem solving and strong customer service skills are a must!

The Duluth Regional Technology Center is a group within HealthPartners’ IS&T that focuses on staff development; improving employee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities within the group.  Staff is expected to be able to grow within their role and increase their accountabilities.

Accountabilities:

    • Provide second level web support for the HealthPartners family of web sites and internal systems.
    • Perform Java/J2EE web development to implement software enhancements and breakfix activities.
    • Execute system build and deployments to the test and production environments.
    • Participate in afterhours pager support rotation.
    • Participate in afterhours production deployment activities.
    • Maintain systems and triage documentation.
    • Provide user support for the Atlassian suite of products.
    • Perform lifecycle management activities.
    • Performs other duties as required.

 Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience.
    • Production Support experience.
    • Customer Support experience.
    • Experience developing or supporting Java/J2EE technologies and related infrastructure.
    • Basic Unix/Linux experience, including basic shell scripting experience.

Preferred qualifications:

    • Lifecycle management experience (upgrades and patches).
    • Asset build and release management experience.
    • Apache HTTPD Administration (installation, configuration, monitoring and tuning).
    • Apache Tomcat Administration (installation, configuration, monitoring and tuning).
    • Experience with supporting the following products: Oracle/BEA WebLogic Server, including WebLogic scripting with WLST, Oracle Databases.
    • Experience with the following build, versioning, configuration and release technologies: Maven, Nexus, Hudson, Subversion.
    • Experience with configuring the Atlassian suite of products including Conflence, JIRA, Fisheye, Crucible and Crowd.
    • PHP Administration (installation, configuration, monitoring and tuning).
    • Project management and coordination experience.
    • HealthCare experience.
    • Hands on “Build Master” experience.
    • Oracle (or other RDBMS) experience.
    • Source code management experience.
