Title: Principal IT Security Analyst
Organization: Hennepin County

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:
•Participate in a large scale identity management tool implementation.

•Create, support, and configure identity management work flows, integrations, and reports.
•Create and maintain security metric reports in a variety of technologies and platforms, gather data for drafting of
technology related risk assessments.
•Track progress on risk mitigation plans and provide regular progress reports.
•Research security technologies and trends and provide updates to peers, management, and business contacts.
•Provide guidance to customer and technical staff inquiries using security industry best practices, technology policies, procedures, guidelines, and security strategic direction.
•Lead security policy reviews and perform Payment Card Industry (PCI) reviews.
•Represent enterprise risk management on technology project teams.
•Manage complex internal information security projects to scope, time line, and budget.
•Plan and provide training, mentoring, and work direction to IT staff and customers in the areas of IT policy, compliance, standards, and other areas as assigned.
•Provide on call support for security incidents on a rotating basis.
Best Qualified Candidates will have:
•One of the following:
◦A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, management information systems (MIS), and/or another related field plus two years or more of professional IT experience.

◦An associate’s degree or approved certification in an IT program plus four years or more of professional IT experience.

◦An approved equivalent combination of education and  professional IT experience to equal six years or more.
◦Working with reporting tools; creating and running reports.
◦Working with IT risk management in areas such as compliance, identity and access management, information management, information security, forensic security, project and business risk, operational continuity, security controls, system audits, or other components of risk management.
◦Working with security metrics and reporting.
•Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication  skills.
•Knowledge of project management methodologies.
•Ability to:
◦Provide expertise relating to information security standards and regulations, and give guidance to risk remediation efforts.
◦Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization, and lead in a team environment.
◦Adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timeliness.
◦Demonstrate the employee competencies.
Type: Full-time (35+ hours/week)
Period of employment (temporary):
Wage/salary range: $58,448.00 – $93,554.24 Annually
