As part of your internship, you will interact with senior leaders as you gain an understanding of how we strategically use technology to drive our business forward. In addition to working with other software developer interns, you will also get a chance to create connections and friendships with interns from many different functions across General Mills.
From day one, you are an integral member of the team working on key projects within our business:
Using Microsoft software development technologies, create an extranet-based solution for gathering consumer insights and feedback on our new product introductions
Leveraging Mobile technology, create new capabilities to enable our sales force to drive growth with our customers
Within SAP purchased software, analyze, design and develop solutions to meet our Sales Division’s new pricing strategies

Work in a variety of environments such as Web, Unix, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP
Develop and support applications using Visual Basic .NET, SAP ABAP, JavaScript, C++, DHTML, PL/SQL
Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of technology plan strategies
Enhance relational database management skills in SQL Server or Oracle
Deepen your business understanding by working with our Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain functions

A strong candidate for an opportunity as an Information Systems Software Developer will
have the following:
3.0+ GPA
Technical Majors (Management Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering)
Computer-related work experience or internship
Object-oriented programming experience or coursework and/or
Database experience or coursework
Demonstrated leadership (on or off campus)
Strategic and analytic thinking
Ability to work collaboratively supported by strong written and verbal communication skills

Degrees Preferred: BA/BS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
