As part of your internship, you will interact with senior leaders as you gain an understanding of how we strategically use technology to drive our business forward. In addition to working with other software developer interns, you will also get a chance to create connections and friendships with interns from many different functions across General Mills.

Implementing and evaluating new technologies supporting the web infrastructure
Deploy a YouTube-like video storage solution for use across the organization for collaboration, training, and communication
Gather requirements and deploy security solutions that protect the plant floor production environment
Evaluate and deploy new features to the company’s internal Facebook-like collaboration tool
Evaluate cloud-based storage and application solutions

Work in a variety of environments such as Web, Unix, Microsoft, Security, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP
Develop and support infrastructures such as desktops, servers, virtual environments, Unified Communications, internet/intranet and more
Enhance relational database and analytics skills in SQL Server or Oracle, Business Objects, SAP Bex
Work with enterprise hardware platforms: networking, security, server, storage, and virtualization
Learn project management skills

A strong candidate for an opportunity as an Information Systems Infrastructure Analyst would have the following:
3.0+ GPA
Technical coursework or experience
Object-oriented programming experience or coursework
Security experience or coursework
Database & data analysis experience or coursework
Hardware-related work experience or internship (server, network, storage)
Demonstrated leadership (on or off campus)
Strategic and analytic thinking
Ability to work collaboratively and have strong written and verbal communication skills

Degrees Preferred: BA/BS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
