Responsible for Open Source database exploration, specifically researching Postgres and/or MySQL and potentially others in conjunction with Associate Database Architect to determine use-case viability and limitations. The intern would gain a deeper understanding of database technology and enhance soft skills in capturing and presenting research findings. Evaluate current vendor support offerings for each and provide go-forward recommendation based on results.

– Proof-of-concept design and implementation

– Learn data center hardware and software standards

Required Skills and Necessary Experience:
– College student
– Experience with database technologies
– Working knowledge of Linux
– Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills.
– Ability to set scope and deliver quality results.
– Ability to work with little direction/independently.

– Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
– Currently enrolled in accredited college/university and is pursuing a Technology related degree
