As directed by IS PMO Director, this position is responsible for:
1.Managing IS projects from inception through successful completion
2.Providing consulting and support on Menard’s Methodology, using specific tools and processes
3.Utilizing and promoting Menard’s Project Management Methodology in IS and throughout the business community for all project activities
4.Managing vendor and outsourced projects and relationships as necessary
5.Responsible for sponsor and Team Member satisfaction as it relates to project completion, project success criteria or as otherwise identified by Menard’s IS Department and Methodology

* Manage IS Projects
•Ensure that projects are completely and correctly planned according to established methodologies and standards
•Develop requirements for projects and review with executive sponsor and users to ensure that the project meets current needs and provides flexibility for future business needs
•Ensure that the project work plan is followed and is continually updated to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner
•Make certain that the project includes appropriate representation from users as well as all IS departments as necessary
•Ensure that the project is completed on time and within allocated budget and meets success criteria
•Ensure appropriate communication and maintain contact with users, executive sponsor, department managers and directors and upper-level management personnel as directed by the methodology and the supervisor
•Keep manager and director informed on the status of all assigned projects
•Develop, maintain and publish the project book according to Menard’s IS Project Methodology
•Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives as directed
•Assist in business process improvement initiatives through approved projects
•Promote technology where appropriate to add value to business process
•Coordinate with IS and business departments to determine staffing needs; delegate work assignments and coach Team Members to ensure systems are implemented according to specifications and standards

* Promote IS Project Methodology:
•Ensure all project management activities align and promote the Menard’s Project Management Methodology
•Support the tools and processes of the project management methodology including but not limited to Microsoft Project, Project Web Access and Microsoft Office Templates

* Project Standards and Procedures:
•Enforce all Corporate Standards and IS Systems Standards to develop and support projects
•Perform periodic audits on all IS projects to ensure PMM is adhered to during the project life cycle
•Provide input to IS Standards if existing standards require modifications or changes

* Production Issues:
•Identify problem trends (single site or overall) pro-actively
•Follow established process for problem handling or resolution

* Security and Confidentiality:
•Maintain information confidentiality and security
•Protect and prevent unauthorized attempts to obtain corporate information
•Suggest and recommend ideas for systems and data security
•Report all unauthorized incidents to the management

* Development & Support:
•Meet with Users to evaluate customer satisfaction
•Ensure Team Members develop test plans and thoroughly test and debug all programs prior to implementation

* Other:
•Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
•Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a MIS, Computer Science or a related field
Equivalent work experience
•Minimum 2 years of experience in IS Project Management
•Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Systems
•Must have demonstrated proficiency with MS Project 2000 or above
•PMP certification and project management training is optional
•Excellent supervisory, management, and performance management skills; interpersonal skills; customer service skills; organizational skills; project management skills and knowledge of project management tools; and verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent analytical skills for problem determination and resolution
•Ability to manage multiple priorities
•Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate with others
•Must work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work
•May be required to work overtime, including weekends and holidays
